Nappies: The Newborn Checklist Series

On the first few months of your baby all you’ll ever think about is poo. Newborn babies are like poop machines where you need to change their diapers 5 to 12 times a day. Buy at least 2 boxes of newborn diapers. No need to stock up on newborn sizes because your little one might grow fast. Just buy enough to keep you going for at least the first few days or so.

If you are planning to use reusable nappies, you’ll be needing at least 15 nappies plus nappy liners and snaps, or safety pins to secure it (if your using traditional lampin).

You will also need a bucket and baby wipes. You can also make your own wipes with a washcloth and warm water. Make sure to have baby diaper cream to prevent diaper rash.

Buying changing pad or table can be convenient but you always have the option to use a towel on the table or bed as you alternative changing pad.

When it comes to nappies, you’ll be making a huge decision whether disposable or reusable diaper. Just weigh the advantages and disadvantages of each type of nappies. After all, decision will be based on whats best for your baby.
